Today, I stopped into LOWE'S to pick up a Puck Light. For just under $10 I did find one, but it was a 20-watt Xenon type. Now, I remember reading where the recommendation was for a 9-watt Puck Light, for Lithophanes - which brings me to my question:
Has anyone used this particular wattage (20) Puck Light for their lithos? If so, what are your opinions?
I know that I could very easily just free the unit from its packaging, and try it out, but I hate to do that kind of thing. It's one matter to return something to a store, that was defective - but (IMO) quite another matter to return a perfectly functioning device because of not having, first, armed oneself with proper knowledge behind the purchasing situation. I know, for myself, that 'I' won't buy anything from a store with its packaging seen to have been opened, and taped back up.
But that's just ME .
