    Default Zan's Wine Rack

Finished this wine rack yesterday. It is one of Suzanne's designs and I enjoyed building it. It is made out of spalted sycamore. I built for a charity auction of a local Family Literacy Center. They do a wonderful job on their programs to help folks who have trouble reading. I have been building something for them each year for almost 20 years. I don't believe we realize how many folks have literacy issues and how restrictive that can be in their lives. I think the sycamore will go with about any décor and I hope it does well for them.

Somebody will end up with a beautiful wine rack, your continued support of the cause is surely much appreciated. Haven't had a chance to use sycamore, will have to look into it.
    Thx for sharing

My thanks to everyone for the kind words. I really like the wine rack design, Suzanne did a great job. It is a good carving project with lots of options. I think it will be good for the auction and raise some good $$ for their programs which is the first objective. Getting a few calls afterward from folks who weren't successful in bidding, but still want one wouldn't be a bad thing either

The wine rack is very easy to make. The directions are so well explained you can't mess it up. Mine was the big hit at the gala. Hoping to get caught up with business so I can make another one.
