Thread: Paint Finishing

  1. Default Paint Finishing

About to start doing some painting on some signs. What do you all recommend as a type of paint to use and the process to do this. Example: Carve, sand, paint, varnish or varnish first and then paint. Please share the way you all accomplish finishing a sign with paint. Thank you.

My first concern is where they may get placed, indoor, outdoor. Outdoor has a few other issues as to how harsh an environment may it be in.

After doing all of the sanding I always stain before paining. For interior stuff I use acrylic paint, exterior I use a good exterior latex.
