Thread: demo mode

  1. #1

    Default demo mode

I registered my new designer 3.0 software and updated my licenses. Opened designer 3.0 as administrator. When I tried to do some of the features, it said I couldn't save it because I was in demo mode. I thought that once I registered my software and updated licenses, I wouldn't be in demo mode any more. What gives???

You must be using an add-on application that is NOT part of Designer 3.0. These are shown here: http://store.carvewright.com/home.php?cat=400

Designer 3 features are shown here: http://www.carvewright.com/designer-3/

Make sure you run as administrator when you originally register the license. If you don't the wrong computer serial number gets saved. Last time I did it I installed it as administrator but later when I opened it to register I forgot and it failed to register properly.

This may sound angry, but I have spent about $500.00 in the last year or so for program add -ons, (editing program, sculptor program), upgrade to Designer 2 (which I only had for about six months when Designer 3 came out) and upgrade to designer 3. I still can't use the puff or extrude functions. Before I spend any more money on add ons, is this something that comes with a particular add on or is it just a matter of my registration as administrator (not sure how you make that designation when registering)?
Thanks for those who responded. What I'm trying to do is make an oval picture frame with an oval within an oval and puffed to make it rounded. I know how to get it to carve the two ovals, but when I made the puffing as I wanted, it said I couldn't save it or download to memory disk because I was in "demo mode."

This is not going to make your day. The puffing is part of the 3d suite:
