Thread: rotate question

  1. #1

    Default rotate question

I have a drawing done with the segmented line tools and the depth profile. Is there any way to rotate this 90 degrees? Joe

You cannot rotate vectors in the Designer. Although, you can rotate a .dxf in the DXF importer. That's the only way that I know of. IMHO, it seems like strange behavior for a vector based program but, it's been that way since the beginning. It has always been a major complaint also.

Thanks. I guess I will have to draw them over again.

For 90 degrees, try using mirror, then hide any unwanted parts.

I can only get reflections with mirror. Reflections can give the same as 180 but not 90. Am I wrong?

Maybe using half the mirror gets you 90 degrees. lol

Okay 180 and right to left. Maybe CarveWright needs a 360 degree mirror.
    thanks so much!

They just need to add rotation of vectors! I keep telling them that is embarrassing to have a drawing program without such a trivial, basic feature.

I agree! It probably has something to do with marketing. Maybe it would slow the DXF importer sales. Any way to squeeze a nickel...
