    something I have been working on, borrowed the hummingbird pattern from my uncle, in fact he showed me how to do the curves and such He gave me a C+Click image for larger version.

    Great job! Uncle must have had a Cheshire grin on his face when he said C+. You have done better than a lot of us old farts. Keep with it as you certainly have talent.

    Thank you all for the nice comments, but I agree with my uncle, HE was being generous with the C+. You should see the stuff he builds, I have a tendancy to rush things, Like not waiting 24 hrs for the finish to dry and then setting the lids on another piece of wood that had wet laquer on it . if you look closely at pictures 3&4 you can see the marks. Those soft brass screws, some are overtorqued stripping the head, I should have predrilled a little deeper. etc etc. Zan the inserts are flocked and the base and the box are lined with felt
