Thread: scanning probe

  1. Smile scanning probe

    Hi you all!!
I got myself a scanning probe, made a sled and laid out part to scan. I set my depth but the probe will not raise up. It just runs into the side of the part.
    What am I doing wrong?

There is a video and downloadable instructions under Carvewright support. These items may help.

Give ya a little pointer about using the probe. The metal tip WILL scratch things up. There is a thread on here that talks about using a glue tip made by Testors, I got mine from Hobby Lobby and it does help a lot. Just a suggestion if you are trying to copy (scan) something that is precious.

Thanks Jerry. I read that. Any ideas why the probe is not scanning
You take care and have a good one.
