Default New projects for the new year

My first projects of the new year. First, I hope it's ok... I like the POM calendar frame idea. But since I'm not a subscriber I can't get the pattern... so I decided to make my own. Like I said, hope it's ok. Second is a gumball machine. Took some doing to get the sliding dispenser to work, and it still needs some tweaking but it works most of the time.

Very nice projects. I like the choice of artwork on the calendar frame. The gumball machine is clever. Should be in the project store. Where do you get the gumballs?

You know that's a good question. Used to be you could find gumballs anywhere, but I had a hard time. Ended up getting them from Ebay, 500 cost me like $8.00 including shipping. As for putting the pattern in the store, I suppose that is possible once I get it perfected. Still needs work, it doesn't work every time and I need to make a pattern to carve the slide part, I did most of that by hand. We shall see... Thanks for the comments!

I still have several antique gumball machines full of gum balls... they never go out of style..but your machine looks great on any shelf. Is that plexi your using for the sides?... Did you cut it on the CW?

Two great projects. Really like the gumball machine (looks a lot easier than the one I did several years ago). Will you be putting it in the Pattern Store when you get it perfected?
