Hope some of them realise how much effort you put into this learning tool. You've really used your imagination and shop expertise on this one.

Very cool!!! Wish I knew how electricity was made.
I am trying to figure out what your did. Does it make pulsating DC? Do you have magnets in the big wheel that pass by wires?

The center plate has three coils of 150 turns ea. of 22 ga. magnet wire, the two out side magnet rotors have 6 ea of 1/8 X1X1 neo magnets. with each pole facing opposite, north ,south in a zigzag pattern. As the rotors turn this produces alternating current or AC single phase. AC is not good for charging batteries, so it is then run through a bridge rectifier to convert it to Direct current.
I remember 5th grade. My teacher had a hand crank and made us all get in a circle holding hands, while it was turned. The electricity went through all of us....I was terrified!!
