Floating Characters

I'm trying to create space between lines of centerline text by using hard returns and increasing line spacing between lines. I've tried numerous methods to create the separation but nothing is coming out satisfactory. I've posted some photos of before inserting hard returns, hard returns with increased line spacing, and the results. One oddity is in the third photo, the quotation mark was selected when I increased the line spacing but you can see how it didn't change with the rest of the text. Any ideas what is going on or what I may be doing wrong? I've also posted the file but it's in Ver 3.0, sorry, but I can't figure out how to save it down to earlier version. Any help there would be appreciated as well.

Just for kicks and giggles, put a space before and after that line of text to see if it makes a difference.

Have you tried creating each line separately. Then create a blank line (with a space) and reduce the vertical size to the lead size you want.

I would suggest breaking the text up into three sections to space the text the way that you want.

However another problem is that your text is very small. I don't think it will carve very well especially with the 90 degree bit.

If you have designer 2 or 3 you can control all of that from the text window. You did not say what version you are running. In 1.187 you can put in each line as a separate entity and then just position them where you want them.

In the text edit dialog box you first have to select the text that you want to change (drag select with mouse or hold down the Shift key and use the arrow keys). Try a setting of 40 in the bottom right box (line spacing).

I really didn't look at the date on the original post, just the most recent reply. I think the question was probably answered a long time ago.
