I'm trying to figure out how to carve across multiple boards and align them correctly.

Hello Jerry and welcome aboard the Forum.

It will help us to give you better advice if you can first describe what you want to carve, and then give us measurements of the boards you want to carve on and then align (perhaps for glue up). How large will your total finished carving be when finished? There are a variety of great articles (and videos) on subjects like this on the Carvewright.com home site, and Tips and Tricks. And pictures or sketches help every one quickly focus on what you want to accomplish. Let us know how we can help you.
