Default Can I use Pattern Sculptor with the software I currently have?

Hopefully, this will help answer that question. Find the section that includes what software (or version) you currently own and see how you can use Pattern Sculptor:

    Can I use Pattern Sculptor?

    I only have 1.187 or 2.007
    • You cannot use Sculptor with your Designer Software.
    • You will only be able to use a .ptn file that other people have created using Pattern Sculptor & Designer.

I have 1.187 or 2.007 and STL Importer
    • You can use Sculptor as a Stand-Alone
    • You can open any of the following file formats in Sculptor: .scp (other Sculptor file), .ptr (raw pattern with no data such as owner or licensing as in a .ptn), .ob, .stl, jpeg, .jpg, .png or .bmp.
    • You can use Sculptor and then export as an .stl file format to bring into Designer with your STL Importer

I have 1.187 or 2.007, STL Importer & Pattern Editor
    • You can use Sculptor as a Stand-Alone
    • You can open any of the following file formats in Sculptor: .scp (other Sculptor file), .ptr (raw pattern with no data such as owner or licensing as in a .ptn), .obj, .stl, jpeg, .jpg, .png or .bmp.
    • You can use Sculptor and then export as an .stl file format to bring into Designer with your STL Importer.
    • You can open a pattern that you created from your Favorites folder in Pattern Editor and select Export to STL to bring into Sculptor. (includes patterns created in Designer software, imported images or imported scan)

    I have 3.101
    • You can use Sculptor as an integrated part of Designer.
    • You can open any of the following file formats in Sculptor: .scp (other Sculptor file), .ptr (raw pattern with no data such as owner or licensing as in a .ptn), .ob, .stl, jpeg, .jpg, .png or .bmp.
    • You can use Sculptor and then export as an .stl or .obj file format, HOWEVER you can’t import an STL without STL Importer, so INSTEAD you would click SEND TO DESIGNER, which puts it into your Pattern Library without needing STL Importer.
    • You can open a pattern that you created from your Favorites folder in Pattern Sculptor by double clicking on it. (Right click gives you the option to open in Pattern Editor or Pattern Sculptor.) You don't have to have Pattern Editor.
    • You can take a pattern from your Basic Library, use the MAKE PATTERN function and then use it in Sculptor.

What such confusion. That deserves a 99 dollar holiday deal.

You buy this and Designer 3, you get $100 off until Nov. 5th with our Halloween sale.

Just for you, it can then be considered a $99 holiday deal!

I was just thinking, stl importer works with 1.187, so I could use all the new stuff to create patterns and import them into 1.187 to create some wild patterns for toe store. Is my thinking correct?
