    Default Carving Bits

How does the cw know whether I have the 3/8, 1/8 or 1/16 carving bit in place. Is there a
location in the software (Designer) where I specify which bit I'm using? Thanks.

Will the 1/16 carving bit allow me more detail?

Yes you pick the bit in designer based on what type of carving or cut out you are doing.

Maybe, I'm looking in the wrong place. When I select bit my only options are:
"ballnose, ogee, roundover, v-groove, straight and keyhole. I don't see carving
bits listed anywhere. Maybe a stupid question or my eyes are getting older everyday.
    Thanks again.

You can change bit to carve with in board settings.
Right click on board it will bring up a box -go to last setting and open up select bit you will use.

So the Ballnose is actually the carving bit? Is that how I understand it?

Hope this is in the right place
I bought er11 adapter so i can use carbide bits instead of the adapter they are selling on CW
I was going to order the 1/2" and 1/4 spacers but the shipping is outrageous. 12.00? Come on CW get real.
Any way is there something else i can use for the correct spacing.
    Thanks
    Pete

Yes , I use the drill set collars on my 1/4" and 1/2" shanks for the "V" bits and edge bits
