Thread: Cabinet doors. Raised panel

  1. Default Cabinet doors. Raised panel

I was very fortunate today that a friend gave me 20 cabinet doors of various sizes. All are maple and raised panel. I would like to carve on the panel which is a half inch thick but the sides are three quarter inch. Is there a way I can just do a pattern in the center and somehow tell the machine to use center as reference instead of the edges. It will measure depth and come up with 3/4 instead of 1/2.
Is all this making sence. I hope I'm explaining this right.
I feel lucky to have gotten the doors, all maple. Just have so many ideas for them if I can properly tell CW what I want.

There is a way……..Set you machine for "jog to touch" on.
I don't use it much but there are plenty here who do.
I would have to go to tutorials to remember how to do it.
You could also set your carve depth 1/4 deeper and hight at 75

Maybe one of the wizards will chime in…...
