Mike...I'm always awed by the work you produce. An excellent carving. What did you use to light the top portion of the mirror?

Pure artistry. You, Sir, have more talent in your little finger than I in my whole being.

I am sure you will get lots of brownie points from your wife, and they are much deserved.

Thank you. I didn't really keep track of my time after carving the grapes and vines on the bottom part that was around 40 hours, probably somewhere around 100 to 125 hours total, building the frame and mantle and all the carving.

I got the pattern from carvingpatterns.com specifically it's the Mule & Whitetail deer pattern package, though I did modify it a bit (added to both sides to make it longer). It's just a drawing, not a carvewright pattern.

Thanks Sharon, there is an LED strip light in the top shelf that comes on when you pull the bottom left "grape" there is also a light strip under the shelf that comes on when you pull the right grape.

Actually my shop is such a mess I had to get it installed and get it out for room for other projects so I'll probably have to come up with something else for Xmass now.
