Default Carved mirror for the wife.

My computer bought the farm a while back and I need to reload my Carvewright software, at some point I will have to get advice on how to do that from the forum. In the mean time I did this over the last couple months by hand.

I started this project in June for a birthday present for my wife, however her birthday was in July so I guess it will be an early Christmas present. I carved everything but the Corbels, they were on sale at VanDykes so I bought a couple sets though at the time I had no idea what I would do with them.

I turned the bottom corners in my lathe and didn't like how they looked (centers seemed to plain) so I thought I'd add some LED strip lights and found some pull/on push/off switches turned some "grapes" for the knobs. The left grape turns on the mirror light the right one for the "scene" light.

The grapes and leaves took me around 40 hours to carve and sand, I didn't really keep track of my time much beyond that. If I had to guess I'd say I have around 100 to 150 hours in this project.

The top is a modified carving pattern that I sort of converted to an Intarsia carving thing.

    BoxElder burl: Leaves on trees
    Curly Maple: trees
    Walnut: pine trees, owl, turkeys
Cherry burl: turbulent water in the creek
    cedar burl: center bushes
