    Default What am I missing??

Need just one more little assist with this pattern. If you look at the pics of the draft I ran today, you notice that a shallow corner carved outside the Afghanistan element. I got this from a pic I found on the net and imported into the designer (still using the old version). I tried merge and draft, that messes it all up. What am I doing wrong? Have attached MPC so you can get a good look. Thanks for any assistance.

I grouped the afgan pattern and oval7. Then selected the Afgan pattern and applied "Clip Carving Inclusive". I also removed the feather and made the depth .2". As a suggestion, you might want to set the depth of the text to the same depth as the background and control the height of the lettering with the "Height" setting.

Thanks! I see how the lettering thing helps. I have always just left it how it normally was, changed height sometimes but never depth. I see how that cleans it up.

Now I just have to decide what kind of wood to carve this in. Mahogany i'm thinking... or maple might make the painted elements pop better. Real head scratcher that is...

I grouped the outside oval and applied a "Sweep Rounded". Then made it into a pattern. Just a suggestion, I don't mean to hijack your design.
