Designer 3.0 activation issues

I have not heard of anyone having any problems with 3.0 installation yet, but I seem to have an activation problem. I went through the registration process and was notified that it was successful. At startup, it still displays that I am in demo mode. I had my license file emailed to me and tried that route and had no change. I uninstalled and reinstalled making sure I ran everything I could as administrator and have found no change to my problem. When I go through the update licenses menu, I see Designer 3.0 standalone listed.
I am using Win7 on a Dell XPS laptop.

Bug or what did I do wrong to have this problem?
