Default Problem with putting a project in the jig

Just trying my rotary jig for the first time, when putting the two screws in it seems like they are binding on the jig and won't turn past the screws, I'm using #8 screws as in the documentation and it turns fine until I put them in. It looks like the countersink isn't deep enough and may be hitting on the two bearing screws, so I added a washer to them and have the same issue..... any thoughts and suggestions will be greatly appreciated! Desperately trying to make a Christmas gift before the elves go on their holiday break.

I ran into the same trouble. I countersunk them a little deeper.
