Default S'More Summer Project Ideas... Really HOT.. N Good...

OK.. a Play on words... Saw this on a Canadian Friend's Facebook Page... Thought I would share...

I bet it would make a good Project for the CW... Make it a Name Plate Holder too... We have some Camp Grounds here where I bet it would sell.....

Something for the Winter for me.... real busy now.

First thing I thought of, being an RV person, was this is great for the camp grounds.

If someone does the elements as patterns I would love to purchase them... We have a Campground in my Hometown that I would like to make a Welcome Sign... I went to School with the Girls who own it... http://www.keenlake.com

Well since I am about to run this thread off the "Tracks"..... Lets OPEN this thread to "Carving Ideas for SUMMER"...

It's a week of New Ideas... While my machine is carving out 80 wood handles for my Fire Project I am catching up in the shop with backorders. Doing a Canadian Tag order over from scratch after a color problem in the spring I finally got fixed.

Working with "Carve Buddy" Alan on a Gravity Railroad Coal Car Pattern to make "Shelf Sitters" for the Historical Society. The top edge of the Shelf Sitter will have a slot and actual COAL picked from the Railroad Bed will be cracked and glued in place as seen from the front. Next I need to find a picture of a Coal Barge for a similar Shelf Sitter. The very first Steam Locomotive was used in the US at Honesdale, PA inported from England I believe. But it was a "Fail" as the Locomotive was too heavy for the Gravity Tracks... They went back to the Steam Winches to haul the empty cars back up. The D&H Canal moved the coal to New York City and Philly. John Roebling the maker of the Brooklyn Bridge made his first Wire Bridge to move the Canal Coal over the Delaware River to the New York side where the digging of the Canal was easier. Shelf Sitters.... A New Project for the CW...

The idea of using REAL COAL from the 40's - 50's.... My Grandfather was a Coal Miner near Scranton, PA and in theory... A Chunk of coal laying on the Abandon Tracks TODAY near my hometown of Waymart, PA "Could" have been mined by him... A Stretch... but the Coal has a sentimental feel to it.... And I am hoping the Tourists feel the same... Lots of Historical Groups in this coal county.... Time to dust off my Laser Engraver to do the front and back text after I bang out a few dozen coal cars.... Something I can do a bunch of and do text later...

A few years ago I had the Depot line art converted into a pattern. I will make this into a shelf sitter too.... I have done life member boards too... Lots of opportunities with Historical groups...

    Pictures from 2007.

Or like the Restaurant's of Japan and Hong Kong did when I was playing Navy in the 70's... Plastic FOOD in dishes in the window....

I was just thinking, with the CW, a Laser Engraver and the Color Printing process I have, I can make 3 different flavors of Shelf Sitters..

    Default Smores

Al, I had patterns for Marshmallows and Graham crackers, so I exported them as grayscale so they can be modified. There was a Hershey bar posted here on the forum somewhere, at one time.

    Default Hersheys Bar

Al, Hersheys bar posted is here: http://forum.carvewright.com/showthr...ight=chocolate

I keep this one laying on a table by the sofa in the living room. It drives everyone nuts. They keep telling me "That is just wrong".
It's carved from Black Walnut, and I partially wrapped it in tinfoil.
