MPC compatability between 2.000x versions

A few users reported to me that they upgraded from Ver 1.187 to Ver 2.0004 as I did back in February.

Now when viewing and attempting to open examples of MPCs given with other users posts they get the following error message



My first reaction was that Ver 2.0004 should read Ver 2.0005 files. Foolish me and you know how you get into trouble when you "assume."

I have downloaded but not yet activated my Ver 2.0005 so looking for someone to confirm what appears to be happening before I spread any misinformation. For a Ver 2.0004 user is the upgrade right up to Ver 2.0006 a freebie and should they go right there?

Projects, MPC files, are not backward compatible.

If you purchased 2.xxxx you should install the latest release.

Yeah same here ... And I just upgraded to 2.5 yesterday ... Today I tried to open someones MPC and I got that message ... So I go check and sure enough there is now a 2.6 !!! LOL .... I have check for updates automatically on ,,, so I don't know why it didn't get this update ... Things that make you say Hmmmmmmmm !!!!
