Thread: New Rotary Jig. Calibration error.

    Default New Rotary Jig. Calibration error.

    I was trying to use the Rotary Jig and keep getting "Calibration error" it shows old : 914 New : 1048

    Any I else had this problem.

    I take it you are getting this on the calibration steps on a dowel?

    Yes. When it turns the board around 3 times.

    Your number do look like they is a big difference for the old and new. How many times did you try it and did you check your head pressure?

    I tried it 3 times. Its late and I have checked head pressure, I will tomorrow. When it turn the board around it stops about 1/2 turn short.

    I have had the same problem but, I thought it was either me or my machine was wearing out. I did exactly as Bergerud stated in post #5 and eventually it works.

    The jig calibration is very finicky. Make sure the jig is tight against the squaring plate and clamped down as tight as possible under the head. Remove and reclamp until the calibration falls within range.

    What is the range.

    I put lock nuts (regular nuts) on the other side of the tubes. Once the wing nuts were close, I spin the lock nuts up to the tubes and then tighten the wing nuts against them.
