Did it ask any questions about board thickness? .. It should of seen total thickness more than design and asked how you want to cut.

Nope. It said exactly what I wrote. Using 1.187 if that matters.

not sure what to tell you. It has been a while since using 1.187. Guessing though it should cut out fine. How big did you set the tabs in cut out control?

Minimum of 5 and 3/16 thick. I will watch it. Using 3 passes with the 1/8 due to all the curves so if it goes for a 4th pass I will just stop it. But on the 3rd pass and maybe the 2nd, should see tabs being made. Will report findings tomorrow.

You should be good I would think. Maybe someone who is still using 1.187 and the cut path with a sled might chime in to..

United, just continue. It will leave the tabs and when you lift your board out of your sled, the carving and board will all come out, the depth is using the machines measurement of 1.5 inches deep, without the long cutting but you can't cut 1.5 deep. The board will have tabs in it keeping the carve in place and you have to cut them with a small hand saw and sand smooth. I did this with a couple carvings now and like the way it worked out.

Here's an image of a project just lifted outta my sled. This is the back side so you can see the tabs that were left. The cutter did cut my sled a little, 1/32 maybe.

The cut out will go just below the board surface to insure the cut out is made through the board. I've scored up a lot of sled bottoms. Makes for some interesting designs.
