Some of our first designs and carvings....The Batman / Texans Logo was actually designed using a friends tattoo. I took a photo of the tattoo...brought it into the Designer 2 software and edited it to create this cool little plaque for her....She loves it!

Great job, on the family plaque I would work with the feather tools to help prevent chip out on the lettering
(past experience). Excellent process on extracting patterns from a tattoo. [haven't thought of that]
