    I thought the same thing...I've built stuff that ended up costing more in time and money than buying "off the shelf". It is fun to do that every now and then though!

    Unless you can put it on the shelf for someone else to buy………..

    anyway I am using the prototype and am quite pleased with the results.
    I just put the stock in it and drill… no awl, pencil,lighting issues etc……..

    Both have their place, I am logging both for when I get a off the shelf rotary jig (I have a home made one).

    didn't you build Dans prototype? I did too and put it together but never used it. Just waited for the carvewright version when i saw rotary on the 2.0 upgrade
