Please load board

I am trying to start a new project, and I load a board.
It is a .75 x 7.25 x 24.00.
I get a please load board message.
Change boards for another board same size, same message.
Try 4 different boards with the same message.
I try cleaning the board sensor. No luck.
Same message.
Any ideas? I am frustrated.
Help.

It's probably the compression rollers. Crank the head up close to the top and use your hand to compress the roller on the keyboard side. Use low pressure compressed air to blow out both sides of the rubber washer. Do the same on the other roller. If this doesn't work, you may have to remove the cover on the keyboard side to expose the compression switches.

LCD, Sensor Data, will tell you if the switches are working.

When the machine is measuring a new board in X it moves the board until the board comes out from under a roller and that signal tells the Board Sensor to watch for a board edge... No Signal from the roller, the Board Sensor will never see the end of the board and the machine will ask you to load a board...

Dust builds up on the flat metal that the roller rests on in the released position and builds up to the point that it sits on sawdust and the switch tang won't fall into the slot...

Be very careful with the wires from the keypad removing the side.. they TEAR easily...

Also you need to keep the posts lubed. I get this a lot when mu shop gets below 55deg. Check you head pressure.
