Thread: Conforming Vector Logo not working

Default Conforming Vector Logo not working

I have carved using a logo and no matter how shallow or deep i go for the 60 degree v bit the depth doesn't change. It's carving too deep. I have tried it at .018 and at .030 and at .045 and there is no difference in the depth of the carve. The picture you can see the three different depths, there is not much or if at all a change. I do have conforming vector software. 2.04 designer, 60 degree V bit. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I suggested that Brian do this test carve to see what the conforming vectors did in a carve region close to the same depth he is trying to carve in his project. The depths in designer are very visible as being at different depths but his actual carves show very little difference.

We reviewed anything unusual during the start up bit touching and nothing seemed out of normal. He is using a non LHR V bit but do not see how that would be an issue since it passed the touch routine.

Default Conforming Vector Logo not working

That is not centerline. Is it outline with v-bit?

Perhaps try this in 1.87 and see if you get the same results?

I am going to test carve to see what results I get.

Use a shim to make the depth shallower.

Put it in place when the bit touches off on the board.

Should not, but how thick are the vector lines?
