    Default Mesquite Lamp

    It started out as a log of mesquite firewood. I turned the body on my lathe but the base is a two-sided carve using the Carvewright and the new 1/8" long carving bit.

    Very nice indeed.
    I usually do it the other way around -
    turn nice wood INTO firewood!
