    That is really an amazing breakthrough! I wonder how long until this would be ready for public release.

    There is one for Aplle os. https://itunes.apple.com/app/trimens...524309607?mt=8 and only 4.99 very limited scanning but makes my gears turn.

    Very interesting stuff that I didn't realize was available. Too bad this one has mostly negative reviews and no updates since 2012.

    Did a little more research and Auto cad has a free app 123d Catch I'm going to try. Here is instrutable for creating a 3d printed object from 123d Catch. http://www.instructables.com/id/Maki...ing-Meshmixer/

    How about taking images from your camera and making 3d objects from those.

    Using Designer 1.187, STL importer, Center line, conforming vectors, scanning probe/PE, and the ROCK chuck.

    Sorry I don't check the forums much these days, mostly because of loss of interest. My last project (headboard) is still unfinished, waiting for inspiration. Life has taken a different flavor for me, much contemplation...
