    As others have said, great looking projects.
    Getting the carved areas that smooth was no easy job.

    To answer a few questions:
    I hand sanded, orbital sanded, and used a sanding mop as well as sanded between coats of finish to get a good smooth surface.
    The hat rack and the recipe box are both Maple stained with Min Wax early American stain. The quilted heart box is natural Cherry. I finished all 3 with a spray lacquer.

    77 hours well spent. Where did you get the patterns? You are a true woodworker. Keep up the good work.
