Carve region help

I'm trying to carve a circular region below a rectangular region on the back side of this project. I've tried several different methods to make it work but no luck. I'm reaching out to the great thinkers on this forum for advice or direction. I'd like the circular region to be about another 1/4 inch deeper.

Use Clip Carving: Exclusive for the square and make the depth of the circle 0.5.

Thanks Bergerud, I would never had thought of that, even after reading the Designer software manual. I think there could be a little more explanation of the tool in the manual.

I have to admit, I have read the manual too and watched askbud's tutorial and still I have to just guess and try with the clip setting until I get what I want.
