Default Letter Spacing and Line Spacing Not working?

Not sure if I'm doing something incorrectly, but when I use the Line Spacing or Letter Spacing in the text dialog box to add more space between either the letters or the lines no matter what I change the number to is doesn't do anything. Is this a bug in the software or is there something special one has to do to get that to work? I'm using Designer 2.004 but also noticed it in 2.003. Any assistance with this would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

I noticed the same letter spacing not really working with the decorative text tool. I didn't try the line spacing and I didn't try it on regular lettering. Will have to go back and look at it some more.

I think you are right. The spacing does not seem to work.

    Edit: oops, my bad

You have to make sure the text is highlighted in the text tool box.

...or...you can place your cursor anywhere (between a word or between specific letters) and adjust spacing (kerning)...you can see the changes in real-time in the Designer window as you adjust...pretty handy and cool!
