Default Not CW related, but still need help

I have a 12 yr old Craftsman 10" table saw and a lock spring in the rip fence broke today.
I went on line to sears to order the part if possible, no such luck. They do not make this part any more.
I have tried every type of search for the part, entire rip fence and to no luck at all.
I was wandering if some one out there might know what other way I could try to find a replacement part or rip fence.
the part number for the lock spring is 979969-001, the rip fence part number is 981281-001 for a model 315.228390
    10" table saw.
Maybe some one have spare parts to an old craftsman saw. the saw works very well and I can't see get rid of it just for a
    small part.
attached is the lock spring picture.
    any help would be great

I might suggest taking it to a machine shop and see if they can duplicate it...

That table saw is actually made by ryobi. Take some time on ryobi's web site and see if you can find the compatible fence.... I gotta tell ya, it looks like my ryobi's fence.
