Thread: Carvetight

    Default Carvetight

I was just carving along with the 1/8 cutting bit cutting some area out to make some trivets (hot plates holders). The bit fell out and stopped the design. I have tried to replace the bit but it will not go into the chuck. I have cleaned the chuck, I took the screw out completely tried to insert the bit, no luck. It seems the chuck is too small. I took a rag and cleaned out the chuck. Any ideas?

Did you take the paw out too? Was there some damage to the adapter or chuck?

The paw is the little piece of curved metal under the screw. It is what tightens against the bit adapter. Maybe it is somehow jammed in the CT.
