On recess carves you also have the merge additive and merge subtract I was told by one of the forum prominent members........ "play with it"....and have some fun!!! We have been there at one point and time My favorite saying was when I first started is "WHY IT DO THAT"!!!

Db, right now - I just need to know how to go about setting up carved regions (selectively) to do as you did. I'd have no problem uploading an example, but I could not provide anything more than what you have. The biggest thing for me is know how to hurdle the process of getting where YOU got to. I have played around with this program, time and time again, yet I STILL cannot see where there's settings flexibility. Maybe I am looking too hard, and not seeing what I SHOULD be seeing .

Did you download the sample MPC I posted? If not, please do so. Play around with changing the size and position of the carve region.... as well is the pattern i placed in the board (those are the only two elements in the mpc anyways). If you dont understand why things behave they way they do, please ask. There is always several member's online willing to help.

I did download them, but haven't had the opportunity (yet) to marry the file to my program. Kinda tired, now. Will do so, tomorrow. Thanks.

You may want to read some of the Tips & Tricks newsletters. They cover all the basic "how-to" (carve regions, merge settings, height/depth, and much, much more). I think you'll learn quite a lot and I hope you will enjoy them. Here is the link to all the Tips newsletters...

...and here's some direct links to "key" newsletters that I normally recommend for newcomers...

I took a moment to go through some of these, and could see how beneficial they will be to me. In fact (even as tired as I am, right now) I have downloaded those ones, for placement on my Ipad (studying partner) for when I am out and about. Thank you.

Well, my friend, you did direct me to the exact 'blueprint' that I needed (Tips & Tricks - December 2007), and the process was much less involved than I had, previously, thought that it would be. I am going to go through ALL of the tips & tricks
(and everything else) as thoroughly as I possibly can - and many times over, so as to cement the information into my mindset.

    So many thanks, to you.

    Blessings,
    Nathan
