I am sadden to once again see this subject come up. Time and time again these th well individuals, well nuts, just a little mad. I also am one that had such a great opportunity to make things on the CW because of the generosity of so many. Have no idea what it has cost me because since the expense of the machine 99% of everything I have made was given away. CW, running, upkeep, wood, trip to get the wood, time, finishing all of that is just given away, and OH HOW I HAVE LOVED TO DO IT AND SEE THE SMILES. John has made me a pattern that he put up for sale through the pattern depot. He spent around 9 months making it. And the guys that have helped me with patterns that I made trophies and gave them away to the Air Force guys. Both of those at my expense was over $200. How much fun it was to everyday visit this site to see what new creation someone came up with and would share, yet, years ago now. Thanks guys for helping me so much and now I find using my CW a lot less these days. Wish I was smart enough to learn how to do them myself. Been a great several years with everyone.

There's thousands of free patterns on the internet. Good quality ones. Why doesn't this guy sfsaless sell any of those?

I think it might be a smokescreen.

In any case it's not good to have a lot of anger. So I'm staying.

In every aspect of life there are those who seek to profit from others labor while exerting none of their own. So, it seems that the few leeches are succeeding in ruining one more good thing for everyone else. I sure hate to see so many talented people quitting the forum because of a few "IDIOTS". In doing so you are letting them win again. What really amazes me is the guy actually has the temerity to defend his thievery and greediness.

A possible partial solution might be to post the how to and screen shots. Long ago I asked if Connie if I could put a project that I wanted to share in the store for free and was told no, so I put it there for a minimal $5. The project is now available and protected from reselling. Also, not all CW or CC users use the form, and I wanted the project where the most users look. Maybe an area could be created where patterns could be shared and also licensed. Individual help could be posted (screen shots and how) but to the actual MPC or MPE would have to be shared thru PM. Does PM allow attachments - it needs to.

Just FYI... I just looked and there are no listings by this guy right now. Perhaps he took them down until the heat goes down or maybe Ebay did something, who knows. I know several of us emailed him, and I did send a report to Ebay.

You are right. I was just looking at them this morning and now they are gone. Interesting development.
