    Test run on pine came out great. Been fighting with the sensor to run it on cedar all afternoon. Cant wait to get final carve to install on my ice chest.

    Try masking tape on the edges the sensor measures.

    Be sure to clean the board sensor after each carve, especially if you do not have dust collection.

    +1 on taping edges. Darker wood can be tricky at times

    I took the sensor apart several times and cleaned with alcohol and got all of the dust off. Still would not recognize the edges until I put the tape on the edges. I will paint the swirl tonight and post a pic tomorrow. I did get a couple of others carvings off. Here is one for my little cousin xmas present I was able to finish tonight.

    Finally finished painting the swirl. Just want to thank you all for the pattern help and advise for this newbie. Now I have to wait for the frost to melt so that I can open the shop so that I can install it on the top of my ice chest.

    i use old toothbruush to clean sensors no need to disasemble just feel sen. with fingers and brush away
