You're welcome.
I started out using this method, and still do when need be, but here in Minnesota we are fortunate that the Department of Natural Resources hosts a "Data Deli" online. They have a wide variety of GIS (Geographic Information System) data, including bathymetric depth data for many of our 10,000+ lakes. Using the free Mapwindow GIS software, grayscale bathymetric images can be generated directly. Most of the time when I get a request I can find the data. I have not found this capability for other states. For the smaller lakes that aren't in that database, there is a Lake Finder database that almost always has a conventional map in PDF format.
Dick, here in Missouri, the data you are looking for is located at the health department, environmental and lead departments within the health department. I have installed the GIS software on many servers for the state around here. This may be the case with other states too.
