Great job, I especially like the Bausch sign. What finish did you use?

You continue to be one of the members who make me strive to become better in all/any of the carvings I do. Your design and finish work, along with Terry T, set the Carvewright standard for me. Great job. Please continue to post your work. If you should ever get any free time, I would certainly like to see a tutorial in how you finish your signs, what affects the choice of wood you use (outside vs inside) and how you recommend mounting the signs. With all the work you post though, I wonder if you have a life outside of this work

Thanks for the kinds comments JamesRS and Joeinwestmich . The Bausch sign and my outdoor that are not painted a color I use Clear Guard lacquer from Sculpt Nouvear. It is a hard fast drying finish highly resistant to weather and UV . I try to clear coat signs once or twice a week in between carvings. For the indoor signs or protected signs I use valspar matt finish. I tell my customers the signs will take 14 business days to complete so I am not under any pressure to complete . I try not to put myself under any pressure . It is all about having fun. I hope this helps a little to answer a few questions.
