Anyone tried Designer on this new operating system that was just released? It should work just fine, but we don't know yet. We plan to download and try it between now and next week.

The first time you try to run Designer, you are told that you need to install X11 (apparently Mavericks removes it - it did that with Java too). A link is provided, you click it, download Xquartz, install it, and all is good.

So it is working fine then I take it.. you did the OS upgrade, Kenny? One application down and several left to find out if they are working under 10.9...
Yes, I upgraded to 10.9. Everything is running fine. Most of the APPS I use had, have, will have, or don't need, an updated version to work with Mavericks. Those that did have a "Mavericks" version actually worked fine before they were updated.
Because of Licensing Issues, Java and X11, don't come with new OS X releases, so they have to be manually installed (Designer uses X11). The first time they are needed a Window pops up telling you what you need to do. It's all pretty painless.
Kenny
I upgraded as well and 1.187 is working after X was installed.
