Tried a number of ways to carve St. Francis. Always come up with some part that isn't right. Only success was with a cartoon one. Anyone know of a commercial pattern I can purchase of St. Francis???

Looks like it might work. Guess I was trying for too much detail. Took a photo of my St. Francis statue in my rose garden and tried to digitize it. It didn't have enough contrasting colors but had a lot of detail. Also tried digitizing a picture of St. Francis from a catalog selling statues. Again, not enough contrast. The cartoon one I used was more cartooney than this one, but not as detailed as this one. Will try and see what develops. Thanks bunches.
