What is the difference between the models shown for sale at Home Depot and Lowes?

    Lowes

    Model #: CW001($1699.99)

    Home Depot has 2 models

Model #CW005 ($$1599.99) and Model #CW006 ($1749.99) with heavy duty traction belts

Any new machine that you buy from LHR, Home Depot, Lowes, Amazon or other will be the new Version C machine. Each distributor tends to have their own model numbers. If it comes from a vendor, it will automatically have a one year warranty included in the price. LHR is not included, because you have the option of minimum (30 days/10 hrs), standard (1 yr/200 hrs) or extended (2 yr/400 hrs) warranty.

Thanks for the info. Ordered from Lowe's today with the bit set. Used a 10% discount and got it all for under $2000.00. What extra software should I buy? I am looking to make signs right now.

Congrats on your new purchase and welcome to the club.

At the minimum I highly suggest getting centerline text and conforming vectors for your sign making. They add a lot of cool features/capabilities for sign making plus makes the carving process quicker. If you are into making your own designs/profiles for the sign blanks then get the 2D/3D packages.

Thanks for the info. Looks like they have the vector and center line combined for $125. I'll be purchasing for sure. Might wait on he others until I get to know the machine and its capabilities!

Find the Tips and Tricks on the LHR site that will give you a good idea of the capabilities.

I even use my CW to cut FRP Plastic for the Accountability Tags that I sell. The machine makes a great Maltese Fire Clock...

So what did you end up getting for the lowe's one? Does it have the heavy duty belts? What else?
Trying to decide which is the better buy, thinking Home Depot or Lowe's, since I missed the LHR labor day sale and don't want to wait for the thanksgiving one

There will probably be at least two more sales before thanksgiving.
