    Default My first project

I got a bit ambitious with my first project and had help from some of the other pro's here at the office. I designed a cutlass sword as a double sided carve. It took me a few hours to get the design right but I think it came out pretty good.

YES, we now have three people named Chris!!!!

For those of you at the conference in June, this Chris was the new guy moving the camera around for Chris Rawls (lead engineer; goes by "Rawls") during the maintenance classes and he's not the Chris in the wheelchair that owns the company and goes by "Lovchik".

The carve took 7hrs 20min on best quality and I used the vector drawing and 3D modeling to create the carve. I used a cheap mdf that was scrap from our cabinet maker neighbor.

I think that is a impressive first project and made from scrap no less, having all that knowledge around you have the rest of us at a disadvantage I was great full to build the ornamental box that came with the package. I went though $700.00 of wood trying to learn this machine so learn what you can be grate full you are surrounded by all that talent.
