    You'll have to carve some chain and make a medieval mace as well - that would look amazing carved in wood (just make sure folks know it is for looks only- end grain chain is cosmetic in strength)

    Finally had the time to fix a few details on it and get up on the pattern depot. I've made one for my 5 year old daughter and she loves it. She likes to keep it with her when she watches Jake and the Neverland Pirates on Disney Jr and plans to take with her for Halloween as part of her costume.
