need help please

it has been almost 3 years since i have been able to work with my machines. i have missed them. but too many surgeries and rehab and pain. but i am starting a new hobby that i hope i can use my cw and cc to do it. I am getting into model railroading that is something i can do from the wheelchair.
here is what i am trying to do. I am going to build in O scale which i think is 1/48 or 1/43 scale of the real thing. I am trying to make patterns for things like Railroad ties, with real detail like cracks in the tie, metal plates (but not metal plates just carved into the wood to look like metal fastening plates) and now for the harder thing. i want to make buildings like houses adn stores and maybe grain elevator and would like to make all four side of a building with the cw. i would like to know if we can make a model house or warehouse with the cw. it might have to be done in four side and roof or something like that. is there any ideas out there to help. also i would like to build a train trestle. or a timber frame entrance to a tunnel or anything i can make for my model town and tracks carved out of wood. thanks for any help or ideas or just tell me i am an idiot and nothing like that can be done.

thanks that is a good starting point. now i have to decided what era my layout is going to be and try to do some of these. thanks for all your help. Do you know if there is any of building already drawn on this site. i will have to go through the last two year of post to see. thanks again for the help and guidence. this group is the best.
