    Default Ithicus fish plus...

Recent project I made. Basically I did the inside shape of the fish, then after it was carved I used a marking gauge to do the outside and guessed for the tail. This was a large plaque, 14x30. Made for my minister's birthday... he likes eagles and wolves, and I incorporated his favorite verse and name. Was a lot of paint work.

Yep, probably one day to carve and weeks to paint. Great Job!

Exactly right, 6 hour carve then worked on the sanding and paint for 3 weeks. Not solid of course lol. My log shows 18 hours of paint time on this one. The moutains took a long, long time and if you look close between the big eagles beak and the smaller eagle, there is even a river coming down. It was well worth the time, the person it was for is my best friend and his reaction was all the payment I needed.
