Can anybody tell me how to edit .ptn files. Some of the files in the library I would like to edit.
Thanks

I believe you have to have a regestered scanner in order to do so. If you do, double click on the ptn and it opens the pattern editor.
The 50-50-90 rule: Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.
Do it on a Mac.

Registered scanner? I'm sorry this is very new to me- do you mean a software program that can read it- and if so, what programs are capable of this (if you know).
Thanks in advance!

"Today I am becoming who I once dreamed to be."
he means the scanning probe and its software. when it scnas the image it saves it to the card as a ptn and then with that software you can resize and stuff, or atleast that is how i see it.
I know there is no point in reinventing the wheel, but reinventing myself is a worthy goal to be sure.

What happens if you do not have the probe. Is there another way to convert them?
Try this: Open up the pattern library, go to a pattern, Right-Click, and select Export.
Does that work for you? If it does you now have a .ptn file that you can convert to a PNG with a little program I just wrote, see this thread:

I will eventaully get around to adding in the ability to interract with the pattern library, but that will take a while.

I am unable to access the web page you sent. All I get is connecting.
Try it again, it is just a link to a post on the forum.
