    Default KEELING SIGN (Wedding Gift)

    Hello All,

Here are photos of the sign I just finished for one of the guys I work with that is getting married this Saturday.

The lettering area was done using two stains.
    1. First stain applied was Rust-Oleum (Traditional Cherry)
    2. Second stain applied was Rust-Oleum (Black Cherry)
    3. Black Cherry was brushed on then wipper off.
    4. The frame around the stain area is the Crackle Effect using to different color Grays.
It has been a long time since I have used the Crackle Effect.

Thinking about other project to us the Crackle effect with.

Robert... that really came out nice. Every since the signs were posted of the "name over name" I've been thinking I should try it. Now, after seeing your plaque I know I must try it. Good job.

Robert, that came out very nicely! Thank you for sharing the photo and the details of your process. Some of us are going to have to do that ourselves, thanks to your inspiration!

Well done. i did a similar sign , but struggled with the finish around the letters. How do you sand between coats near and in the letters to get such a nice clean crisp finish?

Very nice sign Robert! I love your techniques on staining and the crackle effect on the edge is great. Thanks for sharing!
