I cleaned it up a little and joined the body parts. You should be able to accomplish what you want to do now.
EDIT: I cleaned it up a little more

Steve
I think the wings are supposed to be propellers. Maybe some carving is needed?
Thank u Steve . I am wondering if the body can be raster cut so it can look like a carving rather than a cutout on flat stock can you help me with this
Bergerud you are right the wings do need some carving can you please help me with this

Thanks
denny

I do think it would be a fun project. It is the perfect type of project to use the new tools on. I could not stop myself from giving it a try. I made a goose body. I found a picture on the web and imported it as a tracing image. I traced it and used puffing. I used tilting for the tail and path offset to make clearance around the carving.
Edit: I guess it is a duck!

Every one has a photographic memory. Some just don't have film.
I agree, nice bergerud but for old fashion whirligig purposes could u post without the rectangle wing carve region?
The rectangle is not the wing! It is a recess for a boss to hold the shaft and get the wing away from the body. I have not made the wing yet.
My bad, I should know not to question your work!
Great, looking forward to making one or two for my cottage. Hope you post the wing/prop. much thanks.
