DEPTH OF CUTS IN PLASTIC PICTURE IN GALLERY

Can anyone tell me the depth needed to get the results of the photo in the gallery, everyone I try looks frosted like it was cut to deep into plastics.

Less is more, when cutting in plastics, the best results are coming from .125" or less, and back lit. Don't forget to flip your image before cutting, so it can be viewed back lit.

do I leave the paper on of off ?

If the paper is still on, I've kept it on. Just watch the extra as it's being cut it tends to get shuved back under the cut head, which for me hasn't been a problem but with a big enough carving and enough paper it could, so stop it and trim it off if needed. Also clean up extra good I've heard the hard plastic chips can be an issue if they get into the gearbox in the bottom back of the machine.

I use material that is .093 thick...I machine to a depth of .080. The protective fill should be removed from the side that is going to be cut.
